Creo GD&T Advisor for GD&T in Model Based Definition.
In Model Based Definition, the 3D model becomes the sole product specification. Shape and position tolerances must therefore be correctly and completely defined directly in the model in accordance with ISO GPS or the ASME standard.
In practice, there is often a lack of systematic control over degrees of freedom, reference construction, and completeness of dimensions.
Creo GD&T Advisor is used as a guidance tool for 3D annotation of your models. The tool provides real-time feedback on:
- The correct application of form and position tolerances.
- Insight into degrees of freedom.
- The consistency of references.
- The completeness of the product specification.

Certainly, the ISO standards have expanded considerably in recent years, especially with regard to measurement. Each customer has its own specific applications.
The best way to understand GD&T is to link theory to practice. This will give participants a better feel for the subject.
The standard two-day training is intensive, with customer drawings as a common thread. To work more specifically, a follow-up day is recommended. This gives participants time to look for examples and let everything sink in.
