Model Based Definition

This training covers dimensioning and tolerancing of a 3D CAD model. Use of a 3D CAD model of this kind makes a 2D drawing unnecessary. It is important here to be able to provide the 3D model with the necessary 2D information (roughness values, limits and fits, form and position tolerances, etc.). To enable this, the course makes ample use of the new symbols for form and position tolerances.

Depending on the CAD system you use, you may also be able to make extensive use of 3D CAD model dimensioning and tolerancing in practice
